Common Questions
When you have questions, you can count on me to provide you with answers. You can always call (317) 573-8888 to speak with me directly or you can check out my answers to commonly asked questions below:
How much is my case worth?
It depends on a variety of factors: the type of accident, the extent of your medical bills/injuries, how long you have been unable to work, how traumatic your accident was, etc. There are several damages you could be entitled to from emotional pain and suffering to property damage to rehabilitation costs, or in some cases punitive damages – but for an accurate estimate, it is best to consult with a personal injury lawyer.
How can I afford to pay an attorney out of pocket?
When you work with me, you won’t have to. I work on a contingency fee basis, which means that I do not recover compensation, unless you do. Visit my Contingency Fee Policy page to learn more.
Should I try to negotiate with the insurance company?
This is not advisable. An insurance company’s goal is to offer you as low a settlement as possible, so it is likely that you will receive less than you deserve and need if you attempt negotiating on your own. When you retain my services, I will do everything possible to help you obtain the maximum compensation you are entitled to – whether that means fighting for a larger settlement or taking your case to court.
What kind of cases do you handle?
I handle an extremely wide range of cases, including car accidents, nursing home abuse, dog attacks, defective products, construction accidents, wrongful death and more. Over the years, I have handled hundreds of cases – both big and small – and regardless of the details surrounding your case, I am prepared to represent you, too.
When do I need to file my claim by?
In Indiana, you have two years from the date your accident occurred to file a personal injury claim (Ind. Code § 34-11-2-4(1)). If you lost a loved one as a result of wrongful death, you also have two years in which to file a claim (Ind. Code § 34-23-1-1).
